Registro de um Decreto de Sua Majestade o Imperador, Dom Pedro I, sancionando e mandando executar uma resolução, em artigos, da Assembléia Geral Legislativa, cujo o primeiro Artigo deixa a autoridade dos Comandantes Gerais e Subalternos dos Distritos das Províncias do Império como sendo puramente a militar. O Art. 2º permite os Comandantes Militares de Praças a continuarem a exercer a jurisdição civil, em caso de guerra e de ter começado o investimento, e o Art. 3º delibera que não haverá mais empregado militar com o título de Governador, sendo este título substituído pelo de Comandante a partir de então.
