Registro de um ofício da Câmara ao Presidente da Província, relatando terem fundados receios que uma “quadrilha de ladrões” tenta “acometer” a Vila, segundo já têm feito nas Vilas vizinhas, e por conta disso os membros requerem do Presidente um destacamento de doze homens comandados por um oficial inferior para ficarem de guarda na Vila. Documento assinado por Antônio Fiuza de Almeida, Manoel de Toledo e Silva, Afonso Agostinho Gentil, Ignácio de Vasconcellos Cunha Caldeira, Antônio José da Conceição, Pedro Ferraz Castanho e Felipe Xavier da Rocha.
