Registro de um ofício da Câmara ao Presidente da Província José Antônio Saraiva, onde em cumprimento à Circular do mesmo datada de 1 de março daquele ano, os membros relatam que os limites outrora demarcados para o pagamento da décima urbana na Vila apenas incluíram três ruas das principais, onde se achavam os melhores edifícios, e neste perímetro não havia terrenos destinados a lavoura ou criação de gado.
