A entrega foi feita na então sala de reuniões dos vereadores da Câmara Municipal de Piracicaba, e contou com a presença do vereador João Manoel dos Santos (autor da propositura) e de outros membros da edilidade como Laerte Zitelli, Esther Sylvestre da Rocha, José Pedro Leite (Zé Pedro) e Jorge Martins.
